Our family began this summer with four of my five kiddos graduating. My oldest graduated from nursing school, passed her NCLEX and now works in the NICU at Erlanger. The oldest boy graduated from Covenant with an English degree and is now getting his masters in creative writing at UTC. My youngest daughter graduated high school from Hilger and my 18yo son completed his time dual enrolling at Georgia Northwestern Technical College and is now working in California. Right now only my 15yo son at home; he is starting his tenth grade year at Chattanooga Christian School.
After all that graduating, we took a celebratory trip to Jeckyll Island, where we took an amazing sunset walk on Glory Beach
and saw the sun rise at Driftwood Beach.
In July we went to Texas for a wedding
and to St. Louis to visit family and go to a Cardinal's game.
I also spent a lot of time this summer writing poetry and working on a poetry collection to publish, publishing some writing on a new Substack, hiking long hikes, and hanging out with our two dogs: Dosie and Risa.
