1. Read Introduction to Mythology chapters 11 and 12.

2. Use your ItMfK HW Packet to fill in the graphic organizers, define the vocabulary, and answer the questions.

On the back of the “Phaethon and the Chariot of the Sun” graphic organizer, answer these questions:

  1. Who is Phaethon’s father? 
  2. What does Phaethon ask of his father? 
  3. What happened when Phaethon did this? 
On the back of the “Isis and Osiris” graphic organizer, answer these questions:
  1. How did Set trick Osiris? 
  2. Where did Isis find Osiris’ coffin? 
  3. What did Osiris become in the land of the dead?
3. Grammar--Write 3 sentences with at least 4 adjectives in each. 

4. Journal: What is your favorite thing to do? What is your favorite subject at school? Choose one of these subjects to write more about. Write at least seven sentences. Title your journal entry "MY FAVORITE" and write the DATE on your journal entry.

5. Begin work on Original Poem (Use this handout), due October 7/9.
