1. Read The Hobbit, chapters 1-3.
2. Fill in the vocabulary from your Hobbit HW Packet using the Hobbit Vocabulary. (Feel free to just refer to this online, using it without ever printing it.)
3. Answer the questions for chapters 1-3 in complete sentences on your Hobbit HW Packet. Use one sentence for each question unless otherwise instructed.
4. Write in your Journal Packet, due Dec. 2/4: If you could make up a world (like Tolkien made up Middle Earth), what would be in your world? What would it look like? Write at least 7 sentences.
5. Complete page 1 of your Grammar Packet.
- Reread pages 32-33 of ANG.
- Write the seven coordinating conjunctions next to the word FANBOYS.
- Define Compound sentences on the lines beside the words "Compound sentences."
- Fill in the three formulas from these pages on the lines provided and give an example sentence for each.
the definitions of the words are pretty different on the worksheet. also, I couldn't find word expedition on the vocab webpage
