1. Read Introduction to Mythology chapters 3 and 4.

2. On the "vocabulary" section of your graphic organizer, define the words:

3. Fill in the rest of your graphic organizers (given in class) for each story as we discussed in class.









4. On the back of the "Vasilisa the Wise" graphic organizer, answer these questions:

  1. Where was Vasilisa sent and why? 
  2. What did Vasilisa’s doll tell her to bring and why? 
5. On the back of the ""Anansi and the Sky God's Stories" graphic organizer, answer these questions:
  1. Who is Anansi? 
  2. What are the four tasks the sky god asks Anansi to do? 
  3. Who is Aso? 
  4. How did Anansi capture each creature? 
6. Study the information from the Intro to Mythology graphic organizer and be prepared to answer questions on a quiz in class.



7. Review the punctuation sheets given in class. Write three sentences to use at least one of each of the following punctuation marks: 
  • period, 
  • comma, 
  • semi-colon, 
  • double quotation marks, 
  • apostrophe, 
  • exclamation point, and 
  • question mark. 
Be ready to share these sentences in class on Monday or Wednesday.

8. Journal: We've already studied four cultures: Japan, the Middle East, Russia, and West Africa. If you could choose one of those places to visit, which one would it be and why? Title your journal entry with your choice (example: "JAPAN") and the DATE. Write at least seven sentences
