1b.--Read and evaluate the two poems in your Homework Packet
2. Study for a test on AofBF!
  • Study all questions from HW
  • Study all notes from class
  • Study all vocabulary--use the quizzes (Quiz #3 below for studying purposes)
  • Know basic B.F. timeline
  • Be able to write different compound sentences (IC, conj IC. IC;IC. IC; ConjAd, IC.) and complex sentences (IC DC. DC, IC.)
3. Complete the final draft of your autobiographical story; remember! This is not an overview of your life. (Due Sept. 15)
  • About one event/trip/day of your life
  • Five to fifteen paragraphs
  • Correct grammar and punctuation
  • Various types of sentences (compound, complex, etc.)
  • Typed, 1.5 space, normal font
  • Rough draft done by Sept. 20, final draft finished Sept. 27
  • Bring a copy to class on Sept. 27 to share with a friend and turn in 
4. JOURNAL:Write your journal in your journal packet. You will write one each week, and these will all be taken up together on September 22.If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why? 
5. Week 4 Grammar: Reread pages 22-27 and pages 32-33 in A New Grammary. Write two sentences with each of the compound sentence formulas on page 33. Circle your coordinating conjunction (conj) or your semicolon in each of these sentences.
