2. Read Pilgrim's Progress, chapters 1 and 2, pages 3-14.

Chapter 1

2. What is written on the letter that Evangelist gives this man? What does Evangelist tell this man he must do?

Chapter 2

1. What reason does Christian give that he knows that the words of his Book are absolutely true?
2. What are the “things where they are going” and “how are they to be enjoyed”?
3. Why cannot Christian walk very fast? 
4. What happened to Pliable after the Swamp of Despondence? Why?
5. What does the author ask Help and what is Help’s answer?

4. Write your journal in your journal packet: Is being a Christian a safe way to live your life? Why might it be dangerous? Is it worth it? (Write at least seven sentences.)

5. Grammar: Write four sentences using compound and complex sentences in your grammar packet.
