1. Make introductions. Give syllabus. Go over  Class and homework rules and rhythms.

2. Introduce normal class sequence--grammar starter, short quiz, HW review, lit lesson, activity, grammar lesson, HW intro

3. Give out Aof BF Homework Packets and Aof BF Journal Packets. 

4. Read page one of AofBF. Rewrite second paragraph together as a class. (If time)

5.  Hand out yearless Ben Franklin timeline. Watch video. Talk about years--fill in years from slide.

6. Introduce A New Grammary, grammar HW

  Week 1 Reading pages 1-19 of The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin (click for full book online)

  Week 1 Questions from AofBF HW Packet

  Week 1 Grammar: Read pages 6-13 about nouns, pronouns, verbs, and adjectives. On your own lined paper write one sentence for each part of speech. For the noun sentence circle all the nouns and label them using the list on page 6 if you can. Do the same for pronouns, verbs, and adjectives. You will have four sentences. Make sure there are two circled words in each sentence.

  Week 1 Journal—Write your journal in your journal packet. You will write one each week, and these will all be taken up together on September 22.
