1. Read The Outsiders, chapters 9-10. (Click PDF on this page for an online version.)
2. Answer the questions for chapters 9-10 in your Outsiders HW Packet. 
3. Define the vocabulary in your Outsiders HW Packet using this Outsiders dictionary.
4 . Create a parallel form poem using any amount of verbal phrases and at least one independent clause (IC) to make eight lines. We discussed this in class; see slide #5.
5. Answer your journal in your journal packet. 

Since you’ve become a teenager, what is the greatest challenge you’ve faced? What are some challenges that face teens around you? How do they compare to the challenges that face the teens in The Outsiders?  Write at least 7 sentences.
